I’ve never been impressed with John McCain.

And, the recent examinations of his record and history by the Club for Growth, and Reason Magazine leave me hoping that we get someone better in 2008.

While, I’m concerned about his zeal for military interventions, his authoritarianism, his lack of support for tax cuts and his class-warfare
rhetoric; I’m really distressed about his opposition to the freedom to express political preferences via contributions and endorsements.

He actually said:

I would rather have a clean government than one where quote First Amendment rights are being respected, that has become corrupt. If I had my choice, I’d rather have the clean government.

What a magnificent “American”.
