Blind Person Driving
On my drive home from work today I noticed a message printed on the back of the vehicle that was stopped in front of me at a red light which read:
Blind Person Driving
I had a good "What the hell?" moment before I realized that other printing on the vehicle was advertising the sale and installation of window blinds.
Heh.

Some of my customers are engineers at a company that makes ATM's (automated teller machines). Every single one has to be "handicapped-accessible", with braille dots on the keys and voice-synthesized feedback - even the ones in drive-through lanes. Maybe there are blind people driving!
Then there's the story about my great-grandfather. At 89 years old, every day he still drove himself down to the business he had founded to check on how the work was going. Then he'd go back to the parking lot and try his keys in every car until he found his, got in, and drove home. He was too blind to tell a red Ford from a blue Buick, and this was back when cars had unique styles, rather than all being streamlined like half-melted gumdrops.
